Bridgette Binford, MPH is a health and productivity coach. She combines her experience in the health and wellness industry with project management and process improvement methodologies to guide individuals and organizations, enhancing their productivity to live, work, and lead well.
Bridgette founded BJB Coaching in order to return to her passion for helping others realize greater health, happiness, and wellbeing. After having children and working full-time, she found that it was more important than ever to connect meaningfully with her day-to-day work. When her daughter was diagnosed with celiac disease at a young age, Bridgette decided to make the change in her personal and professional life in order to have the flexibility and focus necessary to help her family’s health. Now she is excited to support others navigating similar life events, working with them to find the right balance for their personal, professional, and family lives.
Prior to BJB Coaching, Bridgette worked for Kaiser Permanente Colorado as an Operations Manager within Primary Care. It was in this role that Bridgette gained firsthand understanding of what it takes to lead and motivate a team. With responsibility for appointment access across 26 Primary Care medical offices and over 800 provider schedules, her knowledge of process improvement along with her strong interpersonal skills allowed her and her team to have continuous success. Maintaining relationships and facilitating win-win solutions became her “MO.”
During her time at Kaiser Permanente, Bridgette also served as a Workforce Health Consultant, helping numerous large employer groups bring their vision of employee wellness to life through strategic program development, strengthened leadership support of wellness, and appropriate and selective interventions.
Additionally, Bridgette was the Wellness Program Manager for Blue Shield of California and Assistant Manager for the Lucasfilm Fitness Center in San Francisco. In this capacity, she oversaw the day-to-day operations of a fitness facility, and helped motivate employees to achieve their fitness and wellness goals. Bridgette also met with individuals one-on-one to introduce them to fitness, and she taught group exercise classes as well.
Bridgette earned her Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Colorado – Anschutz Medical Campus, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). She is a Certified Health and Wellness Coach through the WellCoaches School of Coaching, and is a Healthcare Process Improvement Advisor through Kaiser Permanente.
Bridgette recharges through time with her husband, Brian, two children, Cora and Cody, and dogs Tucker and Tessa. She also enjoys running, spending time outdoors, and being creative. She makes regular trips back to her hometown of Brunswick, Georgia for fishing, boating, and going to the beach with her family and friends.
